As your "Muscle Liason", let's replace SPORT with RECOVERY. When we speak with our clients before, during or after a session about how to properly stretch, it's amazing to watch their eyes glaze over in utter confusion. In order for a stretch to be effective, we have to be engaged WITH the stretch. We cannot COMMAND the stretch. There is no more direct way to put muscles into a Taurean Stubborn state than to COMMAND them. Use a basic stretching routine and LIVE there for a bit. Take some active breaths (in through your nose and exhale out of your mouth)Take 5 mins to disconnect and FEEL. I know I know. Feelings are for wimps. 😒 But seriously, feel what your muscles are telling you. Do they want you to move to the next series or are they REALLY enjoying the depth of the movement? C'Mon!
